RiTWIN Specializes in Energy Storage Cabinets, Offering Energy Storage System Planning
(Economic Daily News Report 2025-06-14)
RiTWIN has recently invested in 1MW and 4MW d-Reg energy storage systems. Furthermore, a 60MW/180MWh E-dReg energy storage facility is planned for Taichung. RiTWIN is a professional manufacturer of energy storage cabinets, sourcing international battery cells to produce battery cabinet modules and complete energy storage systems. Its products are utilized in its own projects and supplied to other system integrators. Last year, the cumulative battery shipments exceeded 300MW, with clients including various well-known domestic manufacturers.
Energy storage systems demand high technical expertise and significant investment, necessitating a strong focus on overall safety risks. RiTWIN leverages the group's extensive experience in energy industry development, design, and manufacturing over many years to plan and design stable and safe products and operational models, actively vying for market share in energy storage system construction and operation.
RiTWIN states that the primary consideration in project planning should be ensuring that energy storage systems do not become "orphaned" in the future. Energy storage systems and their associated projects represent significant capital expenditures. Long-term operation, maintenance, and repair capabilities directly impact a project's return on investment. However, maintenance issues typically arise not immediately but several years down the line. At that point, the availability of local service providers in Taiwan becomes a critical concern, underscoring the importance and value of local suppliers.
Currently, the d-Reg market is experiencing oversupply, with capacity fees at zero, leading to significant short-term losses and a substantial extension of the return on investment period. Various stakeholders have proposed solutions. RiTWIN views this as an inevitable phenomenon in the early stages of an emerging industry, believing that after market consolidation, future development will continue to trend upwards. Given the unchanging long-term global demand for energy, the development of diverse application scenarios such as behind-the-meter storage, peak shaving and valley filling, and virtual power plants is being driven forward. Manufacturers capable of providing safe, stable, and innovative business models locally will be able to firmly establish themselves in the energy storage market.
RiTWIN is one of Taiwan's few specialized energy storage cabinet manufacturers, offering comprehensive energy storage system planning. Last year, its cumulative battery shipments exceeded 300MW. In early July this year, RiTWIN will further integrate its group subsidiary Dazhen, incorporating consumer batteries into its production line. This expansion will enable RiTWIN to offer a full spectrum of energy products, from energy storage cabinets to consumer batteries. RiTWIN states that despite its advantages in battery packaging and system manufacturing, and extensive collaborations with system integrators and investors, the group maintains a highly cautious approach to its energy storage ventures, aiming for stable growth and success.
